From the beginning of the economical and financial crisis in 2008 the labor market situation in Europe has seriously deteriorated: the level of unemployment in the Euro area in December 2012 stands at an historical high of 11.7%. This situation causes negative effects on specific categories of people, especially young people.
Y-AIDE project is planning several activities which are aimed at providing youth, from two different European countries, the opportunity to meet up, interact and participate in constructing a tighter-knit Europe, talking about work and employment as primary themes for a more genuine and social European integration.
The young people will learn about the rights and opportunities open to them through EU citizenship – particularly their right to live and work anywhere in the EU, a factor which should increase their chances of employment and grow the competitiveness of European enterprises.
This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. The project activities will take place from January 2014 to March 2015 in both Italy and in Ireland.
